CHARACTERS
All the characters operate while belonging to the specific zero-group of the US Navy Seals
The main character
John Goran
His father was an officer of the Navy Seals and was killed in action on a special mission. In early childhood the boy found himself in a military boarding school, which became his home and his school of life.
After graduating from the boarding school he decided to join the US navy and served there for three years on the “Harry Truman” aircraft carrier. Then he successfully entered the SEAL school where he almost instantly established a reputation as the most able and highly promising student of a military school. For high distinction in studies, he was transferred to the newly formed zero squad of the eighth platoon, which task was to test the most recent products of the US defense complex designed for divers in field and close to field conditions.
He specializes in fire support.
Female character
Lisa Marico
Judging from her appearance, she’s an extremely independent, strong-willed, and even at-times unfriendly girl who hides her deep inner emotions under a mask of detachment.
Nevertheless, lieutenant Marico can easily break the neck and fracture the ribs of anyone who dares to put obstacles in her way. She attacks her prey fiercely and tears the enemy into pieces. Lisa is not encumbered by complexes, she knows herself to be great in the severe world of male fighters and she’s able to repulse a charge from any of them with dignity.
Nobody knows anything about the past of this woman and how she found herself in the elite Navy Seals detachment. She’s graceful, elusive, and extremely dangerous.
She specializes in close-in fighting and intelligence.
Main character's partner
David Mirron
David is a young and promising fighter. People like him are known as the “life of the party.” He’s extremely sociable; he likes to tell jokes, to drink a glass of whiskey in friendly company, and to strike up a noncommittal acquaintance with some pretty girl.
Like John Goran, David became an orphan in early childhood and was taken to a military boarding school. There he almost immediately secured the role of a “regular fellow.” In a manner peculiar to himself David doesn’t hide his ironic smile and often tells cynical jokes even during military operations.
In spite of his easy temper, Mirron since early childhood has discovered an amazing ability of his mind to mentally multiply eight-digit numbers. The accurate calculations yield to him like they do to no other. That’s exactly why David Mirron is considered to be the engineering and electronics specialist.
Female character's partner
Bill Kotez
Lieutenant Bill Kotez is the only person from the group of four who became a Navy Seals fighter not as the fates decreed but according to his own will. As he often likes to say of himself: “Army is my calling. When I kill an enemy I feel that I do good for my country.”
He is considered to be a calm, reasonable, and industrious man. When Bill takes part in military operations both his comrades and his enemies admire him – as not a single muscle will move on Kotez’s face even under the volley of bullets.
In fighting, this man has no heart, he’s like a machine which is programmed for war.
As he is the most industrious and responsible member of the group of four, Bill is a liaison between them and the Navy Seals headquarters. Besides that he is considered to be the unsurpassed specialist in the undermining and blasting area. |
